"NO MORE BLACKMAIL - HON. KIMANI ICHUNG'WA"

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah appeared on Obinna TV Extra for a wide-ranging interview titled "NO MORE BLACKMAIL", which premiered on April 22, 2026.

Ichung'wah made headlines by claiming he once blocked President William Ruto's phone calls following a high-stakes fallout.He detailed the "genesis" of his public disagreements with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, alleging that Gachagua had "cried" during the 2022 DP negotiations.He  also explicitly denied ongoing rumors that he intends to run for the Kiambu gubernatorial seat.
 Ichung'wah criticized politicians who focus on local "village matters," arguing that Kenya must now operate and be viewed on a global stage.
